Two trophies, one design language: Malvensky signs the awards for the ATP 250 Tiriac Open presented by UniCredit Bank

Built around the architecture of the game of tennis, the trophies of the ATP 250 Tiriac Open presented by UniCredit Bank are conceived as design objects in their own right. Created by Malvensky Jewellery House under the creative direction of Malvina Cservenschi, the two trophies — “Ion Țiriac” and “Malvensky Most Popular Player” — share the same source of inspiration: the movement of the ball and the dynamics of rallies, translated into a coherent and recognizable sculptural form.

The “Ion Țiriac” trophy, awarded to the tournament winner, is designed as a dynamic structure inspired by the trajectory of the ball and the rhythm of the game. It represents an interpretation of the elegance and dynamism of tennis, capturing the motion of a tennis ball in a form full of energy and grandeur. With every detail meticulously crafted across 21 levels and placed on a pedestal made of Rușchița marble, the trophy stands not only as a remarkable piece of craftsmanship, but also as a symbol of victory and excellence.

“Created especially for the ATP 250 Tiriac Open, the Ion Tiriac trophy is more than just an award — it is a work of art that celebrates the passion and dedication of tennis players around the world. For me, it is a true honor to create this jewelry-like trophy,” said Malvina Cservenschi, founder and designer of Malvensky Jewellery House.

At the same time, the “Malvensky Most Popular Player” trophy offers a different interpretation of the same theme. Dedicated to the most popular player of the tournament, it is inspired by the style and energy of Ilie Năstase, one of the most expressive players in tennis history. Its form is fluid and continuous, reflecting the movement of the ball and the direct connection between player and audience. It is a trophy that does not reward results alone, but rather impact on court — the spectacle, the energy, and the ability to connect with spectators.

Together, the two trophies function as a coherent system: one marks measurable performance, while the other recognizes impact and popularity. Although different in form and meaning, they are united by the same visual language — movement, rhythm, and balance.
